Canvas LTI Connection Directions (LTI Admin)

SNAP 2016 can be delivered through your school’s learning management system (LMS), such as Canvas, D2L, Blackboard, or Moodle. Once integrated, the steps to access your course content will be the same as accessing any other course content in your LMS.

Import Course Content into Canvas

Step 1: Log into your Canvas Account

Step 2: Create a new course in Canvas


Step 3: Select Settings in the course menu.

Step 4: Select Import Content into this Course button.

Step 5: In the drop-down for Content Type and select Canvas Course Export Package.

Step 6: Choose the Canvas file (.imscc) provided to you by Paradigm.

Step 7: Select All Content.

Step 8: Select Import.

Note: When the import completes, move to the next section.

Step 1: Select SettingsAppsView App Configuration.

Step 3: Select the +App button.

Step 4: In the Edit App dialog box type:

  • Name: A SNAP Connect
  • Consumer key: Provided by Paradigm
  • Shared Secret: Provided by Paradigm
  • Launch URL: Must be blank
  • Domain: connect.snap2016.com
  • Privacy: must be Public
  • Select Submit

Step 5: Verify the configuration worked by navigating to the Assignments page and open a SNAP Connect assignment.

Note: If you receive an error, please review the App configured in Step 4. Please ensure there are no spaces before or after the Consumer Key and Shared Secret.
